PSED
The responsibilities of an educational institute are to impart knowledge to the students and develop skills. Almost all the systems existing in the country are working on two domains, either knowingly or unknowingly but they are not working enthusiastically on another prime responsibility of character building. It requires a conscious effort with a systematic process as the educational institutions follow and adopt while imparting knowledge and skills.
So, THE RIGHT SCHOOL has taken up a task in a systematic and formal manner for developing a PSED Manual. The manual is an instructional resource pack for the teachers wherein the topics of PSED have been thoroughly identified to be taught from Class 1 to Class X. Like other subjects, the Manual has been divided into two main terms, with proper period allocation and assessment days.
Context Embedded Quranic Understands
We have introduced a system of imparting religious education which is a context-embedded religious education system. We believe that religion should not be taught in segregation as its makes the students excel in their social skills and scientific knowledge. Islam has dilated upon many scientific aspects which need to be highlighted and established aimed the young generation’s minds. Similarly, our experts give relevant scientific examples and quotes from The Quran and Hadiths wherever content of the syllabus speaks on any scientific topic. At the same time, we accept and value different faiths and beliefs of children in schools.

Parent Involvement
Developing strong link between school and parent is our main aim, as this is a essential factor in a child’s growth and development. During the academic year, there is variety of supplementary opportunities for parents and children to visit the school.
However, the main features of parent involvement are:
• To harness communication harmony between parents, children and teachers.
• Sharing problems and queries with the staff or the head teacher.
• Developing relation and understanding between staff and the parents.
• Regulating complaint procedure and its follow up.
The Curriculum, Organization and Teaching Methods
The Curriculum
We aim to put children at the centre of their own learning and place great emphasis not only on nurturing skills and attitudes such as resourcefulness, resilience and co-operation but also on character building. Our teachers make the national curriculum alive by making links between individual subjects and applying them to topics.
Children study all subjects as set of forth in the national curriculum, which includes Mathematics, English, Science, ICT, Social Studies, Urdu and Islamiyat, apart from these core subjects, THE RIGHT SCHOOL also provides other subjects like Art and drawing and Personal, Social, Emotional Education combined with context-embedded religious education.
Organization
The school has developed an overall plan for all subjects to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum, which has continuity and progression. Each class has a scheme of work against each subject which outlines the curriculum to be covered for every term. All parents receive a termly information sheet detailing the curriculum to be covered by their children over the coming weeks.
Teaching Methods
A variety of teaching methods are used, depending upon the nature of activity and the need of the children. This may be the teaching of the whole class, differentiated group teaching, children working in pairs, one on one teaching (one teacher, one child) practical work (both inside and outside the classroom).
Homework And Reinforcement
All the children in the school receive regular homework but it is vital to remember that at Primary School Level, a high level of parental interaction is required. In early years, children will practise reading, phonics and spelling regularly, and Mathematics homework is sent home when appropriate. Research fro science, languages, maths or Art may also be required. So it is anticipated and expected that parents will encourage their children in these task and share their interest. Regular advice sent to parents giving information about the expectations for homework in the relevant year group.
Admission To School
THE RIGHT SCHOOL system stretches its educational expertise from pre-primary to secondary school. Our first session of admission starts in March and the second session of admission starts in August. The period of induction takes place in the first week of the spring term and parents are invited to bring their children to the classroom to help them feel at ease with their teacher and the new surroundings.

• KG & I - English, Urdu, Mathematics and General Knowledge (oral)

The admission test is structured to fit on one to two pages with questions from all subjects and each paper is of 50 marks. The admission tests are prepared in accordance with the appropriate level for each class and are evaluated as per criteria.
No other personnel except the designated invigilators are allowed at the time of the test. The invigilators provide guidance and support to the children during the test, if required.

After clearing the admission test and the interview, the admission fee invoice is to be submitted at the school’s front office or designated bank to complete the admission process. Fee invoice is the first fee “challan form” which includes charges for a security deposit (refundable at the time of withdrawal only), admission fees, one or two month’s tuition fees (with your choice) and any other incidental charges. Methods of payment will be explained by the school office. When this procedure is complete the child’s name will be entered in the admission register and in online data base. And the child may join his/her class.
Scholarships
TRS offers a scholarship scheme that covers a number of circumstances based on merit and means. A certain number of scholarships are given annually; therefore the decision of the school in the awarding of scholarships is final. Further information can be obtained from the school Office. The school reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship scheme at any time and/or amend the rules governing the scholarship scheme at its sole discretion.
School fees
School fees and other charges shall be paid every month or two months (by your choice) in advance, through a local bank or at school front Office. This is payable for all twelve calendar months. The school has the discretion to review and increase the school fees and all other fees, charges and deposits ancillary thereto, without prior written notice. No concessions can be provided in the case of two or more siblings attending the school.
Inter/Intra-city transfer
Eligibility
A student is eligible to apply for inter/intra transfer facilities provided that:
a. He/she has cleared all their payable dues.
b. He/she has not been suspended or received more than one disciplinary warning;
Students, in their own interest, are advised not to seek transfers in the final two years of their schooling, i.e. Classes IX (Matriculation) and X (Matriculation), different Boards have different requirements. As such, TRS does not take any responsibility for the consequences resulting from transfers during the periods mentioned.
Withdrawals and Transfers
If parents wish to withdraw their child from the school, one month’s notice in writing must be given to the school. One month’s fees must be paid to the school in lieu of such notice. No notice is required, however, if a student is withdrawn one month after the final examination.
Notwithstanding the above, a student shall be considered to be withdrawn from the school if:
a. They have not attended the school for a period of one month, unless arrangements for such absence have been agreed to by the Head of the school.
b. Their fees have remained unpaid for two consecutive months.
c. They have been asked to withdraw from the school due to disciplinary reasons. In the event of such a withdrawal the school shall not be required to give any notice before enforcing its decision, which shall be within the absolute and sole discretion of the school.

A student shall be deemed to be enrolled in the school until they have completed their normal education, having taken their final public examination (Primary, Middle & Matriculation), and all their dues with the school have been finally settled. They shall only be considered to be withdrawn after the outstanding fees / other dues (if any) payable up to the last month during which they appear for their last public examination paper, are fully settled, or the outstanding amount shall be adjusted against the security deposit and the balance, if any, shall be recoverable from the parent.
Extracurricular Activities
Good education must encompass more than the standard academic subjects. THE RIGHT SCHOOLS provides a range of co-curricular activities as part of the timetable, appropriate to the ages of the students.
Art and Design
The Art and design program offers opportunities to stimulate children’s creativity and imagination, to develop their understanding of colors, form, texture, and pattern, and to use materials and processes effectively, to communicate their ideas and feelings. Through study of the arts, students learn about artistic traditions of their own and other cultures. They learn to link the study of the arts with the study of history, geography, language, culture and human interaction, and gain an appreciation of the great importance of the arts, both as sources of enjoyment and as means of communication in cultures around the world.
Physical Education and Games
TRS places great importance on sports in the curriculum, and of course it is now universally accepted as being an integral part of an all-round education. We are intensifying our efforts to further promote sports beyond what is already in place. Physical education is part of the regular timetable for all students up to Class VIII and the games played do depend, to some extent, on the physical environment of the school. School ground does not offer enough space; however, school is able to make arrangements for games to be played at local playgrounds.
Educational Visits
TRS organizes outings and field trips at intervals throughout the year to places of interest and educational value. These places are chosen for their suitability for the age of the children concerned. Apart from the interest they arouse, they are of value in reinforcing work done in school.
School Clubs and Societies
We encourage a variety of other extra-curricular activities, including participation in Boy Scout and Girl Guides programs, drama and many other activities. The range of extra-curricular activities depends on local conditions, the age of the students, and availability of transportation, etc. These activities usually take place after school hours.
Visitors
We welcome visits to school by a wide variety of people. Lecturers, politicians, authors, business people, and sports personalities are all among the people who visit school to talk to the students. In past, younger students have greatly enjoyed visits by local tradesmen and craftsmen, sports personalities and even fighter pilots! Meeting such people gives them a broader perspective of the world around them, and a variety of learning opportunities.
School Magazines
The production of school magazines allows senior students to become familiar with various aspects of publishing, whether as writers or editors. Magazines have both English and Urdu sections and students of all ages are encouraged to contribute to them.
Library/ E-Library
It is the aim of TRS to provide well-stocked library and there is an ongoing comprehensive programme of library expansion. Now have a wide range of excellent books and magazines available for students to read and borrow. We are planning to make CD-ROMs available in libraries as an additional resource. In due course of time, access to libraries around the world will also be made available through the Internet. We have an E-Library with the access of Internet. This, we hope, will facilitate research work by students and teachers alike.
Laboratories
We firmly believe that the best way for students to grasp scientific principles is through experiential learning. We are offering properly equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories to prepare students in these subjects. As part of the Science curriculum, essential science equipment has been made available for students as young as those in classes I and II to encourage young minds to explore and understand the basic principles of Science.
Computer and other IT facilities
State-of-the-art computer laboratories have been set up. The computers in school are upgraded from time to time to keep abreast with the latest developments in information technology. Besides those in computer labs, computers have also been installed in separate resource rooms and in the libraries for research work by both students and teachers. Every TRS student has access to computers. A decade ago, TRS introduced the C-3 initiative which aimed at integrating computer aided learning into the curriculum. This has now been replaced by ETAC (Emerging Technologies Across the Curriculum).
Curriculum
THE RIGHT SCHOOLS has developed its own curriculum through outsourcing from different renowned Publishers and also from National Curriculum too, keeping in mind the Quality of texts, concepts and knowledge given to our students, and most importantly “The Prices” to secure your stakes. THE RIGHT SCHOOLS is always there for you, dear Parents. And we are proud of this.
Curricula in TRS (THE RIGHT SCHOOLS) are split along the following lines:
1. Early Years (Nursery and Kindergarten)
2. Primary (Grades 1-5)
3. Secondary (Grades 6-10)
Evaluation
TRS emphasizes curricular and school evaluations. The School System conducts a throughout curricular review every five years to update the in-house curriculum.
These evaluations focus on many aspects, including teaching, curriculum instruction, extra-curricular activities, libraries and facilities, general management, Parent relationships, enrolment and recruitment, staff development, finances, community involvement, resources, career guidance, and technology.
General Information
The school year is divided into three terms:
First term: | Apirl to Mid September |
Second term: | Mid September. to March. |
Exact dates for the beginning to the end of each term may vary from year to year and parents are informed accordingly. The school office may be contacted for further information.
The school has both a five-day and six-day working week as per the Government Orders given at the period, Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday. School timings vary slightly from season to season, depending on requirements. They also change thrice in a year (summer, winter and spring) to meet seasonal conditions.
In addition to weekends and gazette holidays, the school has two major breaks during the year: one in summer and one in winter. The duration depends on the regional climatic conditions.
School uniform throughout the year is quite similar, although a slight change would be made like coat and sweaters because of different climatic conditions.
Details can be obtained from the school. We provide a list of suppliers who know the local requirements, but if a parent wishes to make use of their own tailor, this is acceptable provided that the colors and design are the same as those available with the listed suppliers.
Internal Assessment / Reporting
A student’s academic progress is monitored in various ways: informally by the teacher’s observation, and more formally by assessment of class work, tests and examinations. We realize, however, that even the best designed tests and examinations are able to evaluate only limited areas of a student’s development, and we are, therefore, constantly looking for more effective ways to assess and report on the overall progress of students.
We follow the portfolio assessment approach, which is a systematic, computerized album of growth and progress, demonstrating the student's efforts and achievements throughout the year within the framework of the curriculum. This enhances the assessment process because it reveals each student’s range of skills and competencies and allows the school to gear assessment to individual needs and goals.
In all classes a progress report on each student is sent to parents at the end of each term. Parents are strongly advised to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings, where they can discuss all aspects of their child’s progress in more detail. When necessary, parents can meet teachers at other times too, but arrangements for such meetings are only made through the Principal or Head Teacher.
Promotion
The promotion depends on their overall performance throughout the year. In normal circumstances a student is promoted to the next class at the end of a school year after passing the annual examination. If a student’s progress and performance is unsatisfactory (for example, if they have failed twice to obtain promotion at the end of a school year), the student will be suspended from the school. The decision of the Head of the school will be final in these matters.
